When Jesus got baptized by John the Baptist, there isn’t one thing Jesus has done yet… but God still says, “This is my son whom I’m well pleased.” The Father doesn’t love you bc you did anything. That’s not how love works! it’s not you do this and he loves you and you do a little bit more, it’s about Jesus giving you His love. We are not asked to come to Jesus and to get busy. Its come to Jesus and be forgiven. Through Jesus, we get connected to the Father. Jesus GIVES us the IDENTITY that we are loved. Jesus GIVES us our identity. When we find our identity in Jesus, nothing else matter. Jesus was declared in “this is my son whom I’m well pleased” before He lived out the responsibility.
